New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) Will Also Launch Updated Landing Page on Website

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has taken a proactive step in addressing gambling-related harm by introducing two innovative tools to assist consumers in the state. With the launch of a new toll-free phone number, players looking to self-exclude from gambling can now easily reach out to the DGE. This service enables individuals to exclude themselves from online gaming or both online and in-person activities, providing a flexible approach to cater to diverse needs.

To further enhance accessibility, the DGE offers users the option to schedule in-person appointments with their staff or engage in video conferences with responsible gaming personnel. This video conference feature eliminates barriers and allows individuals to address problem gambling from the comfort of their homes. The DGE’s updated responsible gambling landing page on its website serves as a comprehensive hub, housing crucial information for both players and operators.

This central location offers a wealth of resources, including self-exclusion information, responsible gambling best practices for operators, and the DGE’s responsible gaming regulations. The website also showcases annual reports from Rutgers University that delve into the impact of online gambling and sports wagering, analyzing patterns of play across all players and bets. With these new tools, the DGE is reaffirming its commitment to promoting responsible gambling practices and providing support to those affected by gambling-related harm in New Jersey.
