Buster Blackjack Review – Demo or Real Money

Scott Lawson Written By Scott Lawson Published on 22.01.2018 Last Updated on 06.06.2024

Buster Blackjack is a regular blackjack game with an optional site bet that enables you to win with better odds whenever the dealer goes bust. The game has become very popular in recent times due to the enormous paying odds of the Buster side bet which can pay as high as 2000:1 in some cases. Anytime a new blackjack variant shoots in popularity, it is invariably picked up by one of the leading gaming software providers. My favourite Buster Blackjack game is by Felt, and comes with high-quality graphics, superb audio and a seamless game playing experience. You can play Buster Blackjack at any Felt casinos, however, if you want my opinion, I will reveal my favourite place to play later on in the review.

Of course, when it comes to betting real money on any online casino games, it is absolutely vital that you understood the ins and outs of the game in which you are playing. I would highly recommend trying out the free demos that are on offer from most casinos just to get your head around the rules and the in-game mechanics. If you would like to practice now, you can play Buster Blackjack for free below.

This demo version, plus the information on the rules and features here, should be more than enough to prepare you for the Buster Blackjack real money casinos. To find out the various rules, payout odds and the featured side bet of this game, just keep reading.

An Overview of the Buster Blackjack Rules and Features

The goal of the Buster Blackjack game is to beat the dealer’s hand without exceeding 21 points, whilst keeping the number of cards in your hand to an absolute minimum to increase your chances of winning the side bet. The game is played with six decks and sticks to the primary rules of blackjack. The only real difference is the optional Buster side bet. The amount you win is determined by the number of cards in the dealer’s hand when they go bust.

The Buster Blackjack game rules are as follows. Players can win both the blackjack bet, and the Buster side bet at the same time when the dealer busts. However, players can still lose their blackjack bet if they go bust, but also win the side bet if the dealer goes bust as well. This is because the dealer must still play out even if the player busts, provided there is an active Buster side bet of course.

A standard blackjack win by the player pays 3:2 and the dealer must always stand on a soft 17. If the dealer busts with three to four cards, the Buster bet awards you 2:1 odds. For five cards it is 4:1, six cards is 18:1 and seven cards grants you 50:1 payout odds. If the dealer busts with eight cards in hand, you get yourself 2000:1 paying odds. I guess you are starting to see why the Buster Blackjack game is so popular. The theoretical return to player percentage for this game is 99.63% for the actual blackjack game and 93.80% for the side bet. The minimum wager you can place is 50p on both blackjack and side bets but the max bet for blackjack is £500 and £250 for the side bet.

Throughout this Buster Blackjack review, I have highlighted the key aspects of this popular variant of the classic blackjack game. I hope now that you have had the opportunity to test out the demo version of the game and have a better understanding of the rules and special features. As you have no doubt gathered, it is a pretty straightforward and easy to understand game. If you are feeling ready, and want to try out a Buster Blackjack real money game, there is one place that I would recommend over all others. Ladbrokes not only has a great selection of casino table games, they also have one of the best mobile and live gaming platforms that I have reviewed to date. You can’t go wrong with this operator. Alternatively, why not check out some more popular blackjack variants, such as Super Fun 21 or Atlantic City Blackjack?
